Additional Services & Info

Bus transportation is offered in two formats and is restricted by the number of seats and stops we can service in an appropriate time frame.

  • To your door transportation is available in the Germantown/Boyds area.
  • Cluster Stop – We will consider any stop where 4 or more students are picked-up or delivered to be a Cluster Stop.

Extended-Day is available to Primary and Elementary students who need additional care during non-school hours. It is intended for children who need consistent care for the entire school year, not as a drop-in service. Children who are not picked-up by the close of Extended-Day (5:30) will be charged a late fee of $15 for each quarter hour or portion of quarter hour past 5:30.

Before and After School Drop-In is designed to provide occasional or short-term care for children before school and following dismissal. Children, who need consistent care for the entire school year, should be enrolled in Extended-Day. In addition, after 3:30, any child who has not been picked-up, will join Drop-In and you will be charged accordingly. Charges for Drop-In are $10 for the morning session and $15 for the afternoon.

Kaleidoscope can provide convenience for parents and enrichment for our students while also alleviating some of the “hustle and bustle” from family life by incorporating after school activities into the school environment. Activities will vary throughout the school year. The expected but not yet confirmed Kaleidoscope activities for 2010-2011 include: art, basketball, chess club, book club, karate, mountain biking, parent fitness, soccer, vaulting and yoga. Other, new activities are expected to be added to the program but are still in the planning stages. Most of the activities fees will range from $80-$125.

Fees for additional activities and services may be assessed during the year, as needed for special trips, performance fee, etc.

The Intermediate (7th & 8th Grade) Activity Fee is used for expenses such as books, class trips and activities and community lunches. This fee must be paid in full by July 1 (for alternative payment plan see information on the STAAR Program).

Primary and Elementary classes collect a class fee of approximately $20 which is collected and managed by the classroom teacher or designated parent.

Special arrangements for fees for Drop-In, Kaleidoscope and the Intermediate Activity Fee can be made through our STAAR Program.

Payment of tuition, transportation and extended-day fees are due in full on July 1. If you would prefer to pay monthly you must do so through the FACTS Tuition Collection Program. FACTS is a system of automatic debit from a checking or savings account you designate. If you choose to use the FACTS plan, monthly payments will be made over 10 months on the 5th or 20th each month July through April. There will be a charge of $41.00 per year, per family to use the FACTS plan.

Tuition Deposit and Re-Enrollment – Upon acceptance for enrollment, a deposit of $500.00 is required. Re-enrollment Contracts for the next school year will be offered on February 1 and due March 1. If you do not wish to re-enroll, the deposit will be returned in April, contingent on the fulfillment of the contract in the last year your child is enrolled and notification to the school in writing by March 1 of your intention to not re-enroll – otherwise it is non-refundable.
