Spanish

Exposure to Spanish begins when the child enters the Elementary program and continues through his or her years of Montessori education.

Schedule A Tour

Beginning in Lower Elementary students begin with basic word recognition matching them with object cards, similar to the Primary students when learning to read. As they progress Spanish is taken out into the woods to identify trees and animals and into cooking classes and book reports. By the time the students get to the Intermediate program they are comfortable carrying on conversations and writing reports in Spanish.

Hear more about the Spanish program in the videos below.

"Butler has taught me many life skills that a public school wouldn't...how to plan a trip with an itinerary - in English and Spanish - and how to disagree with someone politely."
